1. What we collect

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we do not sell personal data.
2. Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie, sr_session, to keep you signed in (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, 30 days). Your theme and language choices are stored in your browser's local storage. Paddle sets its own cookies when you open checkout.

Where data leaves your country, we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses where applicable).
4. Public content we process
Slow Radar reads publicly available feeds and pages, stores headlines, short excerpts and AI-written summaries, and always links back to the original publisher. We do not republish full articles.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings → Account) removes your account, topics, sources, library, notes and settings from our live database immediately. Backups on access-controlled servers are kept for up to 14 days and then deleted. Paddle keeps transaction records as required by tax law.
6. Your rights
You can access and export your data at any time (Settings → Data & export), correct it in the app, and delete it permanently. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law) you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, or complain to a supervisory authority. Email us for any request; we reply within 30 days.
7. Security
Connections use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sign-in attempts are rate-limited, sessions can be revoked, and API keys stay on the server. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you without undue delay.
8. Children
Slow Radar is not intended for anyone under 16.
9. Changes
We will post changes here and, for material changes, email you before they take effect.
